How to Measure

CURTAIN & SHEER

Drop (500mm-2750mm): Buying new tracks, this is the measurement extending from the top of the curtain to the bottom hem of the fabric. Using existing tracks, measure from the bottom of the glider ring to where you want the bottom hem of your curtain to be.

Tip: Please note that in most cases, the bottom of the rod or track should be installed no fewer than 80mm from the top of the window soffit.

Width (750mm-5500mm): For rod curtains, this is the measurement of the width excluding the end finials. For track curtains, this is the measurement of the total width.

Tip: For the most cohesive results, be sure to keep the track 150mm to 300mm longer than the sides of the windows.

ROMAN BLINDS

Drop (500mm-2800mm): This is the measurement of the inside height of the window.

Tips 1: Aim to measure the top, middle and bottom of the window in millimeters. From there, write down the smallest measurement and using the same process as the width.

Tips 2: Planning on installing blinds outside the window recess? Please note that even in this case, we suggest having them overlap with the recess by about 70mm at both the top and the bottom.

Width (400mm-2800mm): This is the measurement of the window's inside width.

Tips: Planning on installing blinds outside the window recess? Please note that even in this case, we suggest having them overlap with the recess by about 50mm on either side.

FAQ

  • How can I pay for my order?

We accept online payments via Visa, PayPal and Mastercard.

  • How long will it take for my order to ship?

We are committed to delivering curtains and blinds to all our customers in about 4 to 6 weeks. While we want to avoid letting COVID-19 affect our delivery times, we are still navigating the pandemic. Please bear with us during this period of uncertainty.

  • Do you have a return policy you can share?

Because our curtains are custom-made, we do not accept returns. We do, however – in the rare event you aren’t pleased with your order – pledge to make things right. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you are less than satisfied with your curtains or blinds.

  • Are blockout curtains different from blackout curtains?

Yes, blockout and blackout curtains are different. Blockout keeps most light sources from coming through the material. It’s meant to help keep the room dark. Blackout means direct sunlight will not be able to come through the curtains. (Please note that a small amount of sunlight may or may not appear around the curtains depending on the size, style and installation method.)

  • When should I use roman blinds?

Roman blinds are ideal for rooms with a combination of large and small windows. Generally, it’s best to use curtains on bigger windows and roman blinds on smaller ones (in the same material, when possible.) This will help to balance the proportions in your space and maintain color consistency for a calming and cohesive effect.

  • Do your tracks and rods require assembly?

Yes, tracks and rods may require assembly due to shipping restrictions.

  • How do I clean my curtains and sheers?

Ideally you want to dry clean curtains and sheers. However, gentle hand wash is also fine but must avoid bleach or other strong chemical products.

  • Can I track my order?

Absolutely! Once your order has shipped, we will keep you up-to-date and provide details on the delivery status.

  • Will you send curtain fabric samples?

Definitely. You may receive up to 10 free fabric samples within 3 business days. Additional samples will cost $1 each. Requesting a fabric sample is easy. Simply find the material(s) you are interested in and use the “SAMPLE/CUSTOMISE” button to save your favorites. Then, go to the Order page and click “SAMPLE” to start ordering.

  • How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is free for orders over $699 depending on your location. For smaller orders in remote areas, shipping will cost a modest sum that will vary depending on your location. We will let you know the total amount at the time the order is placed.

  • For double curtains, could I have both the curtain and the sheer option in the Eyelet style?

We don't recommend it, as they will interfere with each other.

  • Do I need to prepare my own tools and screws for installation?

Yes, the order doesn’t come with tools and screws. To install your curtains and blinds, all you need are a measuring tape, a drill, a pencil, a screwdriver and some screws. You may also choose to use a spirit level.

  • Can I steam iron my curtains and sheers?

You certainly can! However, natural sunlight & gravity are also good at flatting curtains and sheers if you are not in a huge hurry and it’s free.
